Many people are baffled about why school shootings are on the rise. Contrary to the media narrative, this is not a problem restricted guns. The media and the narrative writers intentionally leave out the rest of the story though.
Everyone remembers the school bully. Sometimes it was a group of bullies. But years and decades after high school, you still remember those bullies and how other kids were made defenseless around them by the adults that were supposed to be protecting the kids from bullies.
Our son moved to a new school as a first grader and was bullied from the moment he got there. No matter how many times we talked to the school, nothing was done about it. In fact, the teacher said, "maybe he deserves it." We removed our three kids from this Catholic School and eventually did homeschool. (As an aside, the rate at which our kids grades went up when removed from the school system was actually alarming. Our oldest two went back to public school, but we made sure that we were working with them to prevent any dumbing down. They ended up with ACT scores of 24, 26, and 29. Our homeschooled child scored highest. Far above state and national averages for institutionalized education. I struggled with math, so believe me when I tell you, you CAN do homeschooling successfully. Do not let the school system bully and intimidate you. You got this.)
When we did finally enroll our kids in a new school, the old school tried to prevent it by not turning over the kids records. We had met with the people at the new school and reviewed our situation with them. You could tell they thought our story was incredulous and no school or educator would behave in this manner that we described. We set up a date to have our kids test and to have the other school meet with us all together. During the meeting, we remained mostly quiet and let the person from the other school lead the way. About ten minutes into it, the person from the new school interrupted and chastised the daylights out of the person from the other school. Then he took the new testing results of our oldest child and said that comparing the old tests, the child could barely write their name on a test and now after a few months of homeschooling the child not only was caught up but actually scored above the class average. I could tell he was astounded, shocked, and appalled by what was happening at that school. It had been an eye opener for all of us.
It is outside of the norm for people to go on random killing sprees. There is always a motive. The person feels wronged in some way. The person is already a criminal. They have dangerous religious or cult beliefs. They do drugs. They are gang members, cartel, or drug dealers. School shootings are not random either. Neither are the killings limited to shooting deaths. That narrative is not convenient for the gun grabbers who need to disarm the population in order to control it. Think Mexico, where gun laws are extremely oppressive, yet they are one of the most dangerous countries in the world and their cartel are now making a move on the US.
With the Department of Education (aka government) taking over our education system, places like California and New York have had a tremendous amount of influence on our schools, from preschool up to college. Who has the most influence there? Democrats and liberals. As a state, our ability to teach our own children has been steadily taken from us. In response, some have decided to homeschool. And in counter-response to that, the government has stepped up efforts to criminalize homeschooling.
Remember when states had rights and the right to not be run by other bully states? When the federal government was not involved in state level policy and issues? That needs to be restored. California, NY, Washington, Oregon, Illinois, etc...they think that whatever they do in their messed up states, EVERY other MUST be mandated to do the same. And they mean to achieve that BAMN (By Any Means Necessary), including and especially civil disobedience. (Hint: Support your local law enforcement and stop mayors and governors and city council from using them as their private militia to bully the community. The officers are not in control of their orders, you must elect honest people in order for them to do their jobs properly.)
So, now we have bullies teaching bullies. Seriously. When a teacher says, "maybe he deserved it", there is a problem. You see everyday how the left bullies people to get what they want. Bullying has become more refined and even weaponized. Have you noticed how many times the left screams unfair when a house robber or killer is reported and the homeowner (etc) shoots the intruder/criminal? They literally make the criminal the victim. They conveniently overlook 1) the criminal CHOOSE to do something that had an inherent risk of death , 2) the criminal fully stripped the victim of their rights. Democrats have literally, not figuratively, sanctioned bullying. And whoever stands up to the bullies and defends themselves is labelled a bully. The "labeling left" is what I affectionately call them.
The bully educators teach children to use the victim card whenever possible. They teach children entitlement. They teach children to be disrespectful to each other and to adults. And then they empower them to do these things. If you think I am wrong or that Aberdeen is immune to this, think again. Maybe you missed the gradeschoolers with the suicide pact. Spoiler alert, one was successful. This is the end result of bullying.
With the takeover of the school system by liberals, parents have been pushed out of the education system and process. Gone are the days of properly functioning PTA's, parental involvement, and parents being in the classrooms to help teachers. Instead, that has all been replaced by government overseers and regulations, locked doors with parents not allowed in the classrooms and sometimes not allowed to see the books the kids are required to use. Slick attorneys, bankers, and city council members are the keepers of the school system keys locally and hold school board positions.
Yes, something has changed to create this hostile environment that we send our most loved and treasured things in the world to. Our defenseless and trusting children. We carefully and dutifully prepare them each day and drop them off in what can only be described as an emotionally draining cesspool of bullying and hate. If you think that liberal adults are bad, try being around their kids and the teachers that let them run rampant with their organized, maybe even commercialized, bullying.
We can start to minimize this school problem by putting adults back in charge. Eliminate cellphones from school property. Put parents back in the hallways and classrooms. Provide more non-school related after school sports and entertainment that does not segregate the elderly, middle aged, and youth, but encourages them to be a community together. We need more responsible parent groups to be involved.
I have a document to share with you, but first I need to put it in a format that is digital friendly. Give me a day or two to do that and then I will edit this post with a link regarding the Parkland, FL, shooting that will send chills up your spine. I am also sending it to some journalists that enjoy research as I do not have time to do a deep dive on the information to verify it all. It is definitely worth it for someone to reach out to the original author and follow up. It is quite long and will require a page of its own. I am hoping to have it done by Friday, but be patient, please. I will get it here. It will be worth the short wait. Seriously, you should think about homeschooling.
In the meantime, consider that all of these school incidents are hand selected for a narrative. Guns are not the only weapon of choice for the mentally unstable. Cars, knives, pressure cookers, airplanes, and many other things get used. You may be surprised by some things that have been used in our kids schools. I will leave you with a couple of videos that will be enlightening. It is disheartening to see teachers, activists, and other adults participating in and encouraging bullying. It is also disheartening to see the decline in the quality of the teaching staff over the past couple of decades.
